3 New Features Released For Google Docs

I guess technically it’s really only one feature, but for three separate things. As far as I can tell, Google just released Templates to their Google Docs suite, which is a great, and long-overdue, addition. I’ve only spent a few minutes looking through them, but there’s a decent selection, and all appear to be good quality. Here’s what they have:

Presentation Templates

I still haven’t used the Presentations in Docs, but there are 77 pages of templates (starting to wonder if this is really new, or if I’m just now noticing them).

Spreadsheet Templates

There are 115 pages of spreadsheet templates, ranging from service invoices, to event management sheets.

Document Templates

Document templates round out the new templates feature with 117 pages ranging from resumes to business cards.

If you’re a Google Docs fan, fire it up and have some fun. It’s a nice feature that took too long to get here (unless, like I said before, it’s been here all along, and I’m just noticing).

Sneak Peak At 7 Android Apps Out of MIT

25 Must-See Googleplex Locations – On a Map

I’m so incredibly jealous of Google Employees. I saw a map of the Google Campus in Mountain View last year, and decided to make a list of the top 25 places to visit if you ever make it to the Googleplex. To make it a little more interesting, I used Google Maps, and have added a description to each spot on the map. Cruise around the map, and click on the points for more info.

I apologize in advance for having to zoom in to the map, but it only takes a few clicks to get there.

All 43 Cities – and 1 National Park- With Google Maps’ Street View

I live in Orlando, and love Google Maps. We were blessed with street view on August 7th, 2007. They continue to expand the area covered, and I was lucky enough to see one of Google’s camera-mounted vehicles traversing our streets – so naturally, I followed it….. for nearly 10 miles. I’m still searching the areas I followed the vehicle to see if I can find my car, but no luck yet.

I thought it would be interesting to add a list of all the cities that now have street view, and provide links to them, for your viewing pleasure.

If you happen to find something cool in one of these cities, by all means, let us know in the comments. Maybe we’ll do a list of images found in street view in a later post.
