Posted on 23 March 2009 by admin

I’ve been working on a presentation for a meeting in a few weeks, and realized I needed a few new professional looking fonts for my headers. After a few hours of searching – and finding some amazing free work – I was left with about 20 fonts I absolutely loved. I decided it would make a great post, so below, you’ll find what I think are the 20 Best free fonts on the net – at least fonts that work for business presentations. Your mileage may vary.

@tigerfish: I love the purple ones (Laccaria amethystea) too. hehehe...My SO said I'm too long winded in my post. He said people would have fallen asleep by the time they reach the recipe. Did you?:-p

@lynn: Oh yes, we did thought of buying a Mac before opting for this little black beauty.First Aid Kit Refils

The first 6 bits of fonts on this list are considered “web-safe” – they’re supported by all major browsers on any platform. The fonts in the following 2 bits come pre-installed on most but not all systems. The fonts in the last 8 bits are mainly used for decorative purposes, and implemented on the Web as sIFR or saved as images. Nail tek

Streamlight E-Flood Firebox and Streamlight E-Flood Litebox I agree with everyone else, even though I love animals, I didn't find these particulary funny. irons and Peter, I suggest you browse around the internet more because I can guarentee that there are cuter and funnier pictures out there. PS, I do own pets and that doesn't change my opinion, sorry.

  • I always wait awhile before trying all these new “superfoods” that are hyped for exactly this reason. Sometimes they don’t turn out to be all they’re promoted to be. I’m still holding out on using agave necter and flaxseed also for that reason. Thanks for posting this. Atlast, I got a wonderful produt from Nurse Aide Training Programs Rhode Island
  • FreeDieting Calculator – I need 2467 calories to maintain and 2000 to lose weight…

    Cancer.Org Calculator – I need 3500 calories to maintain and 3000 to lose weight…

    1000 calories difference

    That’s 7000 calories or 2 lbs body-fat difference.

Lose 2 lbs a week and that’s 100 lbs per year
Gain 2 lbs a week and that’s 100 lbs per year

    And they are the experts

If you aren’t gaining or losing weight right now, you are at your maintenance caloric intake already.

Log your food for a week, calculate the calories and go from there.

Good luck Nurse Aide Training Programs Rhode Island
  • Thanks for the great guidelines about fonts ! I like almost all of them.
  • I’m disgusted with Ticketmaster’s ridiculous “service charges”.Baby Gift ideas There have been several shows I’ve wanted to go to that I decided not to go to because the service fees were outrageous. Well, it looks like you now have an alternative for certain venues. You can purchase tickets for selected venues at certain box offices in the Chicagoland area. Check out Jim DeRogatis’s article in the Sun-Times for more information: Service fees got you down?.

    Web design

If you have decided that you need a good website for your business, the next step is to decide who should create it.This decision is one that needs a lot of attention because if on the one hand, a well-organized and attractive web design can help you tremendously in making more money; on the other hand,a poorly designed website can cost you money, drive away customers, and can hurt your company reputation.

  • Love the fonts but I have an embarrassing question: how do I download these and actually use them? Thanks and sorry for the dumb question in advance.
  • I mainly use District Thin.
  • I like Diavlo font. Its the best.
  • wow, very professional
  • I'm kind of on the fence too for fixed vs. liquid. I'm leaning towards fixed, because I'm really picky about how I want the final product to look, regardless of how big their screen is.
  • I like District Thin and Scriptina a lot. Also few other of them are quite good. I think all fonts should be free just like word editors that make professional writing available. I think that many things thru the web should be free and available for anyone in need. That is the purpose of web existence - to make things in our range.
  • What I can say is very nice and helpful as well as informative post...really help me very much more!! Thanks..

  • Verynice fonts. Lido STF & mido are the best.
  • I love checking out CSS Galleries. It really helps me get into a creative mindset, just seeing the cool things others have done. From this list I really like No Resolution. A friend and I were JUST talking about fixed vs liquid.
  • What did you guys decide? I'm kind of on the fence too for fixed vs. liquid. I'm leaning towards fixed, because I'm really picky about how I want the final product to look, regardless of how big their screen is. I want exact ratios, exact positioning, although it also bothers me when it doesn't look right in relation to the size of the screen.
  • Wow! Those are very cool fonts. I am bookmarking this page until I finish downloading all of them. Thank you for sharing.
  • I loved the Cardo and Existence fonts. They are really cool.
  • Cool list. I love checking out CSS Galleries. It really helps me get into a creative mindset, just seeing the cool things others have done. From this list I really like No Resolution. A friend and I were JUST talking about fixed vs liquid.
  • I retarded and had the wrong tab open. Thought i was commenting on a different story. Please delete these. thx.
